Samsung announced the Galaxy A90 5G last month offering an impressive specification at a more affordable price point compared to the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
It has now been revealed that a Samsung Galaxy A91 (SM-A915F) is in the works which offers mostly the same specification as the A90 but removes the 5G model and bumps up the charging to a speedy 45W. The flagship Galaxy S10 series use a much slower 15W charging, though this is expected to be upgraded to 25W via a firmware update.
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is £649 on Amazon so it will be interesting to see how they price this model. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has an RRP of £669.00 but it is on Amazon for £509.00 and the normal Galaxy S10 is £799 RRP but sells for £620.99.
The phone will keep the same Infinity-U display, Snapdragon 855 chipset and 4,500 mAh battery as the A90 but the charging goes from 25W to 45W.
Around the back, the A91 is rumoured to keep the same 48MP F/2.0 main camera but with a 12MP ultrawide sensor in place of the 8MP camera found on the A90. The third shooter will likely be a depth sensor. The front camera will remain at 32MP but will come with a faster F/2.2 aperture.
Other rumours indicate that the A91 will be among the first Samsung phones to ship with Android 10 out the box.
