Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra vs Mi 10 Pro vs Mi 10 – A new periscope camera & faster charging but not much else, suggest leaks

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is expected to be announced later today offering a couple of impressive improvements to the existing Mi 10 Pro but nothing substantial elsewhere.

With this information being based on leaks and rumours, nothing is confirmed yet, but I will update the post with the official information when available.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset

The most recent leak showed off a GeekBench score of the phone with it managing to score 901 in the single-core test and 3275 in the multi-core test. This is almost identical to the score on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 based phones such as the Black Shark 3 Pro.

It does seem like a missed opportunity not to use the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset and several other leaks indicate that it will use the upgraded chipset. So I will take this spec with a pinch of salt and hopefully, they will use the newer SD865+.

New 120x zoom periscope camera

The biggest change will be a new periscope zoom lens that will be capable of up to 120x (digital) zoom, but it is unclear what the full spec of this lens will be. It is also unclear which lens they sacrificed to add in the new periscope zoom lens. There is currently a 12MP 2x zoom lens or 8mp telephoto lens.

Battery

The battery will remain the same, but this will now feature the new 120W charging, more than double the speed of the existing Mi 10 devices. This will be the second phone launched to achieve these ridiculous speeds, with the Vivo iQOO 5 pipping Xiaomi to the post.

Display

Currently, it looks like the dimensions and resolution of the display will remain the same, there will be an upgrade to 120Hz compared to the 90hz on the other phones.
